Owaisi & Humayun Kabir Announce Pact In Bengal

By KUNAL CHATTERJEE
Kolkata: In a surprise move, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and Janata Unnayan Party founder Humayun Kabir have joined hands. They held a joint press conference on Wednesday morning. The two leaders announced a new alliance for the West Bengal Assembly elections. This partnership aims to shake up the polls.

Hints of talks surfaced Tuesday night. Now it's official. Owaisi said, "AIMIM is teaming up with Humayun Kabir's party. We are still talking about one or two seats. More details soon." He pointed out problems in areas without strong minority voices. "People there face real struggles. This alliance will last long," he added.
Humayun Kabir called Owaisi "Dada" or elder brother. He sounded excited. "Owaisi is my big brother. We will fight the elections together. Candidate names come today. Owaisi will join 20 rallies. Campaign starts April 1 in Baharampur." Rallies will also hit Murshidabad, Asansol, and Kolkata. Leaders from Bihar and Hyderabad MIM units will join too.
Both leaders shared bold dreams. Owaisi declared, "We won't take Deputy CM post. We want the Chief Minister's chair!" He predicted, "On May 4th, Mamata Banerjee's government will fall." Humayun backed this claim for his party too.
Owaisi hit out at rivals. "Mamata is like BJP. Back in Somnath Chatterjee's time, she shouted most about infiltrators. Who let BJP grow? The Sachar report showed Left Front's wrongs. They faded away. This government does the same now."
The highlight was their new symbol—a flute called "Banshi." They unveiled it with fire. "By playing this flute, we will blow everyone else off the field!" Humayun said defiantly.
This alliance targets minority voters feeling left out. It challenges TMC, BJP, and others in key areas. With rallies planned and candidates ready, the poll fight just got hotter. Bengal watches as these brothers-in-arms promise big change. Will their flute music win hearts?
